Christian Dan Jensen D.D.
He learned about business early in life having grown up working in virtually all areas of a family owned automotive service and sales business. His corporate level experience includes having been a product manager for Becton-Dickinson Corporation, Manager of Product Development and Manager of Sales Engineering for Bard-Parker Co., Inc. He began his training and consulting career in 1969 when he became New England Regional Director of Silva International, Inc., a Texas based firm offering personal and business development training programs. During this time he trained and managed a staff of 18 Silva instructors and led the country in the number of programs presented. He joined Learning Dynamics, Inc., a Massachusetts based sales and management training company, as Director in 1979 and became Vice President in 1984. His specific responsibilities included providing management consulting and training services to major corporate clients. In 1986 he formed The Dan Group, an association of independent consultants specializing in corporate strategy, management and sales skill development. He has consulted extensively in the area of process improvement and has studied the Deming methodology under the tutelage of Ford Motor Company process improvement experts in Dearborn, Michigan. He has worked with employees in over 2000 small to medium sized businesses to create Performance Excellence in their organizations. He has developed the Listening Mode, a training process that enables people to significantly enhance their listening skills. As a member of the faculty of the Reno based Institute for Management Studies (IMS), he is listed as among the faculty members with the longest tenure having presented his workshops on various communication skills to IMS member corporations regularly since the early 1980’s. With his unassuming nature and a strong belief that adult learning can be an exciting, uplifting experience, his unique style and innovative facilitating technique is described in the book MANAGING FOR EXCELLENCE by John Stitt (ASQC Quality Press) as having a significant impact on improving the quality of on-job performance. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of Alpha Minerals, Inc., a natural resource research firm started by Apollo 14 astronaut Dr. Edgar D. Mitchell, and was invited to speak at Princeton University on the firm’s research project. He consulted with Dr. Mitchell and his investors on the formation of his organization, the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS). He is a founder and past President of the Board of Trustees of Unity Fellowship Church in Norwalk, CT and a founder and past President of the Board of Directors of World United Religious Science Church in Stamford, CT. He believes strongly in the value of the individual and places great emphasis on empowerment and team building. He is a member of the National Speakers Association, the Connecticut Chapter of the National Speakers Association and ASQ, the American Society for Quality. He has achieved the designation CSL, Certified Seminar Leader, with the American Seminar Leaders Association. He is trained and certified as a clinical hypnotherapist and completed advanced studies in the specialized field of psychorientology. He speaks fluent Danish and lives with his family in Newtown, CT.
