We can help your organization create
PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE
through the implementation of
the
Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award
Criteria.
Small to medium sized companies face a unique
challenge: they must continuously improve or die. Therefore implementing a
quality and performance improvement program is critical to long-term financial
growth and market success. The Dan Group assists small to medium size
organizations in building an effective management system capable of driving
performance improvement through the implementation of the
Malcolm Baldrige
National Quality Award Criteria for Performance Excellence.
There are many benefits and financial reasons for
adopting this model. Baldrige winners that are publicly traded companies have
outperformed the Standard & Poor's Index by up to 6 times in 10 of the last 13
years. Even companies that are good enough to be Baldrige finalists have
outperformed the index by 2 to 1. Research studies comparing Baldrige award
winners with similar organizations not implementing the Baldrige criteria show
that the growth in operating income averaged 91 percent for winners contrasted
to 43 percent for non-award winners. Award-winning companies reported 69 percent
growth in sales compared to 37 percent for the control group. The total assets
of the winning companies increased 79 percent compared to 37 percent for the
control group.
It is hard to ignore data that clearly indicates
that adopting the Baldrige criteria greatly increases the chance of long-term
market success and can bring a significant financial return on investment.
Thousands of organizations, both large and small, use the Baldrige criteria as a
guideline for improvement. Many of these companies may have little or no
interest in applying for the Baldrige Award – their objective is to improve
performance and achieve a better-run organization.
Please call us for a no obligation interview and
Leadership Assessment to determine if your organization might be a candidate for
the Performance Excellence initiative.

"Remove barriers to pride of workmanship. People are eager to do a good job and distressed when they can't. Too often, misguided supervisors, faulty equipment,
defective materials, and outdated processes stand in the way. These barriers must be
removed." W.
